As a local family-run business we like to support our counterparts and source our ingredients locally wherever we can.
A couple of years ago, we were delighted to come across a supplier of coffee, Voyager Coffee, that not only tastes great but is Devon-based too!
Voyager Coffee, situated in Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon, sources the finest green coffee beans from around the world and then hand roasts and grinds them on-site in Buckfastleigh.
Hand roasters Rachael and Stephen are the coffee masters, working hard to get the best from every bean and responsible for the vibrant flavours of the Voyager coffee.
We’re not the only ones that think Voyager tastes amazing. At the 2017 Taste of the West Awards Voyager’s decaffeinated coffee was awarded silver and their limited-edition Nicaragua La Llamada and Ethiopia Yirgacheffe coffees were both highly commended.
If you find that decaffeinated coffee never tastes as good as caffeinated, you’ll have a pleasant surprise if you try the Voyager. Using coffee uses beans that have been decaffeinated using the Swiss water method which doesn’t involve any chemicals, just natural water preserves the natural flavours of the beans. You’ll find a full-bodied cup, with low acidity, lots of chocolate, caramel, brazil nut and a sweet, smooth finish.
To ensure we always serve the perfect Voyager coffee, the Blinis front of house team have all completed the Voyager Coffee Academy barista training.
So, what are you waiting for? Come and give our Devon hand-roasted coffee a try. With a varied coffee menu to choose from, Mike and his team are ready to delight your taste buds!
