Blinis Café-Bar open during Sidmouth Folk Festival 2019

Blinis Cafe-bar open during Sidmouth Folk Festival 2019

There is much excitement here at Blinis Café Bar, as we prepare to open during the Sidmouth Folk Festival 2019. In addition to our usual menu, we will have even more vegetarian options on our specials board during the week. So, there will be something for all visitors to the festival.

Breakfast at Blinis

For those who want to start early and not miss any of the exciting events at the town’s 65th annual folk festival, Blinis will be serving breakfast from 8.15am every morning. You can choose a Full English breakfast  including the traditional bacon, egg, sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms. Or, as a lighter option; whole smoked kipper or naturally smoked Finna haddock topped with a poached egg.  Breakfast will be served until 9.45am, when Blinis’ Brunch menu will become available.

Brunch at Blinis

If you’ve never had a blinis for brunch (believe me, they are delicious) now is the time to try one; you can choose from crispy bacon with maple syrup, scrambled egg with smoked salmon and chives or smoked bacon, poached egg and roast tomato.  Take a look at the other dishes on our brunch menu.

Lunch at Blinis

If you need to take a break from all the dancing, singing and fun-filled activities that make folk week such a special time, you can relax in the calm and newly refurbished surroundings of Blinis. We re-opened in February this year, following refurbishment. The original features of Blinis’ nineteenth century building have been enhanced with large American tin ceiling tiles and ribbed glass lights, designed to fit with the wrought iron columns. Together with this, muted tones of burnt orange and lime green create a unique and relaxing atmosphere for our customers. Enjoy a freshly ground coffee and a newspaper or stop by for a mouthwatering lunch from our main menu or specials board (our lunch menu is available from 12 noon to 4pm).

Whatever the reason, you will always receive a warm welcome at Blinis during your visit to the Sidmouth Folk Festival.
